Update on Our Spending Freeze
Our no spending month has started and I've already had some unexpected expenses. We hosted a 4th of July cookout on Friday and I had to buy propane for our grill ($19.11) and some paper plates, forks, and other picnic items ($17.00). I also put $19.00 in gas in our van. I'm not sure that I want to count our picnic expenses since it was planned in June but I will.
The kids and I are going to hit up some consignment stores and used book stores to hopefully sell some of our excess. We're also going to hold a huge yard sale in a couple weeks.
How is your spending freeze going? Are you running into unexpected expenses?
