No Spending Month Kick Off
Today is the first day of our no spending challenge! Honestly, it won't be a complete spending freeze due to expenses for my son's 4-H project but our goal is to spend $200 for the month. The $200 will include chicken feed, cat litter, gas for our car, household needs, entertainment, and all other discretionary spending. Here are a few details about our family. We are a homeschooling family of seven, my husband walks to work and eats all meals at home, my kids are active in our 4-H club and youth group, I barter for eggs, milk, and other items needed. I'll be honest staying under $200 for the month will not be easy!! I encourage you to find a limit that your family is comfortable with.
How we're working the plan-
Each week on payday my hubby will take $50 out and we'll place money into envelopes such as gas, smokes for the hubby, chicken, etc. My son will be encouraged to earn money for his weekly youth group trips.
Are you ready for the no spend challenge? How will you make this work?
