Today I had to put more gas in our car--total $13.00 we are using much more gas since we have to drive every day to take care of my son's chickens.
I wanted to take the kids to the pool this week but instead we'll go wading in a local creek. The weather is extremely warm this week so we are running the air conditioner. I'm excited to see how far we can make our money stretch. It's always interesting to see just how little we can survive on. It's also nice that we have great friends that we can barter with!
I'm anxiously waiting on our cucumbers and zucchini to start producing--they make wonderful snacks!! We're still picking a few peas every day...not enough for a meal but it makes a nice snack.
