I started using coupons almost one year ago, in a very short amount of time I ended up with tons of household supplies. I have more free make up, shampoo, toothpaste, and cleaning supplies to last years. I kept hunting down the deals for the fun of the hunt when I realized my household budget should be dropping...not rising. I was inspired to take inventory of exactly what I had in all my closets. I was surprised to find out that I had at least three years worth of soap, shampoo, toothpaste, and numerous other items.
I don't budget anything anymore for our household budget. I am so stocked on everything that we use I only "buy" it when it's free. I've also been able to donate bags of stuff to our church's food pantry. The last items that I was buying were pull ups and diapers but since we have switched to cloth I no longer have any expenses.
Stockpiling works for me....
