Finding Freedom Friday....

I chose to accept the frugal challenge this week. Here is how it went...

The most frugal thing I did and this was a new to me thing was to switch to totally using cloth diapers and pull ups. This has really decreased my household budget. Currently I have $50 for a household budget but don't spend it. My stockpile is huge and the only things I needed to buy were diapers and wipes. Now that I've made the switch to cloth I will have no reason to spend any money out of our household budget. I plan on using my ecb's from CVS to keep my family stocked up on toilet paper and once we run out of cleaning supplies or laundry soap I will be making our own.

We have decided to not get a cell phone and that will free up $40 a month. I am also researching a cheaper way to have a home phone.

I made all of our snacks from scratch this week. I made bread, granola bars, and hot milk cake. All other snacks were fresh fruit.

June will be a month of free entertainment from our local library reading program...we are really looking forward to the Art museum trip...for FREE!!

Awesome!

I used to coupon heavily for all my cleaning supplies. I actually stopped in December after only couponing since June. I still have a decent stockpile! I'm also waiting for it to run out so that I can just make my own.

What is "hot milk cake?" I don't know that I've ever heard of it before.
