Today I made a quick trip to the dollar store to buy some stuff for our preschool girls. Total spent $4.33. I haven't had to buy any trash bags yet because we're still using our huge stock pile of grocery bags. I'm thinking that I'll never buy trash bags again!!
I was able to make $20 this week with my new baby sitting job. My girls had a blast playing with the baby and I enjoyed earning some money of my own. If I watch them only one night a week I'll earn $80 a month. It might not be much but it does help me meet my goal of saving $75 a month.
This month's challenge doesn't seem fair really because we can't spend money that we don't have. It's been more like how far can we stretch our last $20 until the next check comes in!!! I have earned some extra money by selling cheesecakes and doughnuts so that has helped ease the crunch a little.

You are doing so well! Keep it up!
I love your blog and am always impressed with your ingenuity in making / saving money. Can I ask - where do you sell your baked goods, and how did you get started doing that?

I started out by having friends taste different recipes and then sold at our local farmer's market. i also advertised on facebook and at church. Now it's spread by word of mouth.
That's very cool! Thanks!
