Saving money by bartering

I'm always looking for more ways to save money. I found a great way to save money- bartering. I'm blessed to have a great group of friends that agree!! I have traded baby sitting for gallons of raw milk. I've also traded 7lbs of ketchup for a whole chicken.

I always look for things to trade like-
3 tubes of toothpaste for a dozen eggs/freezer jam.
1 hour of babysitting for 2 gallons of milk
household goods like shampoo/body wash/laundry soap for whole chickens/other meat

This has saved us $20 in the last week. For more frugal ideas check out life as mom
