Not Getting the Deals

My family has been going through some changes in our eating habits in the last few weeks that has made using coupons less than thrilling. I still find coupons for organic and all natural products but I'm also finding that I could still make the same item at home for less. Currently Kmart is running their super double coupons and our local Kroger is offering triple coupons up to $.50 tomorrow but I won't be taking part. I'm sitting this one out. Instead, I'll be searching out local farm stands in hope of finding great deals on canning tomatoes and then coming home to clean the house and can some peaches.

Letting go of the coupons for this time in my life is a very frugal and healthy thing to do. For more frugal Friday tips check out Life as a Mom

I find I don't use nearly as many coupons as others, because we just don't as much processed stuff as others. I canned peaches earlier this summer, good luck on your quest.

Yep. Sometimes you have to let the coupon thing go and concentrate on other areas of life.

I have started to let go of my couponing as well for groceries (unless it is for something free, then I can donate it to the food pantry if it is something our family wouldn't eat).

I try to buy most of our food from Aldi or fresh produce from stands. And you just don't need coupons for that.
