Back To School!
As a home school family I've realized how important it is to be organized. In the past there were days where we spent hours looking for pencils, rulers, read a louds, etc. Last year I decided to try something new....school boxes. Each child doing school received a box to decorate on the first day. Once it was decorated we put in that students pencils, crayons, pencil sharpener, ruler, math books, journal, current reader and read-alouds.
Now when it's time for school to start all my kids need to do is grab their boxes and we're ready to start school!!

Great idea! I am working on organizing my hall closet to contain backpack and shoe clutter when school starts. I think I will borrow your idea and put a crate in the closet for each kiddo for their daily school things. That would be helpful not only for cleaning up the hallway but in the morning everything they need is in one place.
I did the same thing this year, and I color coded each child. So for my oldest, everything of his is blue, the second child, everything is green, etc. So there is no fighting about which ruler is whose, and so on.
