Don't Buy that Paper!

Do you buy a paper every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday to scope out yard sales? I used to do this every week. In my town the daily paper is only $.50 it doesn't seem like much but for the same price I can buy clothes for my children or a box of books at the sales! I found out that by going to our local paper's web site I can access their classified ads for free! It saves me time and money.

Yep, we don't read our daily paper either, but check the news out on the website. They don't have all their classifieds up there either, BUT they do have a local version of Ebay.

Great idea. The website usually has a search feature, too, which saves time over scanning the newspaper.

Great idea! :D I've been scoping out for this weekend, too.

Unfortunately our paper ads $10 to the already outrageous $40 garage sale ad charge so not only are they not online - they are usually not in the paper! LOL! I have found that I can catch the major news stories online though and that is a great money saver since I do like to know what is going on around town. I had a post on another great way to find garage sales today too.

Thanks for this! I usually check Craigslist before I go out. I will try my paper's site now also.
