Vaccine Clarification

I just wanted to clarify something that I wrote in a previous post. I said that our youngest two have not been vaccinated, it is NOT because we are trying to save money! Our family all has health insurance, we just do not go to the doctor for every cold they catch! I don't believe in stuffing them full of antibiotics for every sniffle they get. When I was diagnosed with breast cancer I researched all sorts of things as to why some people get cancer and others don't and I found out there are many thoughts about vaccines and vaccines causing autism symptoms. I believe that it is up to each parent how they feel about this. My three year old did receive two years worth of the RSV vaccine because I felt it was well worth all the risks.

I don't want anyone to feel like I was saying to skimp on health care to save money. Never skimp on your health! I'm sorry if it came across that way. As a breast cancer survivor and a person with serious heart problems I would never say don't go to the doctor if you need it!!

I knew what you meant. I don't take my kids to the doctor for every sniffle either.

You know what's best for your kids. I agree that there simply hasn't been enough research on some vaccines to feel confident about them.
