Once a Month Crockpot Meals
One way I save money on our grocery bill is by using my crockpot.Homeschooling and taking care of my family at times doesn't even leave me enough time to throw something in the crockpot in the morning, I had to find a better way. My solution was to take one day a month and put together meal kits.
I have made meal kits of chicken, steak, and pork. Here is one of my favorites...
Shredded BBQ Chicken
3 boneless chicken breast
1 c ketchup
2 T brown sugar
2 tsp worcestershire sauce
2 tsp soy sauce
2 tsp cider vinegar
1/2 tsp ground red pepper flakes
1/3 garlic powder
Put all in gallon bag. Thaw. Dump all into crockpot. Cook on high 3-4 hours or low 6-8 hours. Shred chicken and blend with sauce.
