Even More Changes

This week my husband went back to work. We have been trying to make my husbands photography business work, but we kept falling further behind. Finally, after five months we decided to put it on a shelf and he found a job installing cable. I'm excited to have a regular paycheck again but it is a hard adjustment getting used to him being gone 12 hours a day.

Our market goat arrives Saturday. I won't lie I'm a little ( a lot) nervous!! I have no idea what I'm doing. I've read several goat books but I'm still not confident about what I'm doing!! Our plan is to order our chicks next week and then the milk goat will arrive!!

I spent the day today baking peanut butter granola and chocolate chip cookies. I have also been planning our monthly menu and grocery list. We live far enough from town that I don't need to be making extra trips! I'm looking forward to our activities being over and enjoying our new home.

Don't worry about those homesteady type chores. In time they become second nature. I've been shearing our sheep and processing their wool into yarn all week. There was a day when I worried about learning everything involved in that process, but I can do it now as easily as I do my daily routine chores. Farm chores become easy quickly! :)

Aw, I'm sorry his business didn't work out. Good luck with the homestead.
