Around the House

I'm finally feeling like this is home. I've unpacked and cleaned the inside and outside. Today we spent most of the day in the kitchen. We made French toast, chocolate pudding, fudge pops, and whoopie pies. I'm trying to adjust to not having a grocery store next door. I've realized that I must make a detailed menu plan and grocery list. The cost of gas means we can't make extra trips to town every time we forget something.
We are enjoying the wood burner and all the outside. I'm amazed at how much more the kids are eating after playing outside and working all day! I'll be glad once our garden is in full swing so our grocery bill won't be quite so high.

So how far from town are you? Would love to hear more about the country life, glad you found something so great.
