Freezer Biscuit Recipe

Here is the recipe I use:
4 cups flour
5 tsp baking powder
2 T sugar
2 tsp salt
1/4 cup canola or vegetable oil
1 1/2 cup milk

Sift dry ingredients together. Work in oil. Mix in milk slowly. Dough will be firm but not tough. Roll 1/2" thick, cut, and bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Makes about 12 large biscuits.

You can make a double batch and flash freeze for later... after cutting them, put them on a cookie sheet in the freezer until they are fairly hard. Then place in freezer bags and put in the freezer. Place biscuits on cookie sheet while frozen and bake. It can take a few minutes longer to bake since you are starting with frozen biscuits.

I hope you enjoy the recipe!
